Employee Assistance Program
Employee Assistance Program benefits both the employee and employer by helping with work-life issues before they affect workplace performance. Typically EAP services are FREE to the employee and the employee’s household members because they have been pre-paid by the employer and can cover 3 to 12 sessions with a licensed counselor. The issues for which EAPs provide support vary, but examples include:
- Substance abuse
- Safe working environment
- Emotional distress
- Major life events, including births, adoption, infertility, accidents and deaths
- Health care concerns
- Financial or legal concerns
- Family/personal relationship issues
- Work relationship issues
